1) sbm's teaching note is a pain.

2) i'm keeping lots of other people's secrets recently.

3) but i have no secret to share!

4) perhaps just one or two here and there.

5) buy i'm not blogging about it - it will then become an open secret!

6) patience is hard to develop. but i'm sure the wait will prove to be delightful!

7) ernie watts is insane. no wonder he won 2 grammy awards.

8) "so how do you improve?" -- "i try to think about music as much as i can" - kerong - the guy whom jeremy monterio touts as the person whom the singapore music scene is looking out for, to take the jazz scene to greater heights

9) that's about all i can squeeze out from my brain tonight.

10) goodnight.

1) you know, i can almost bet that almost all SMU students who blog will blog about their projects coming to an end and that they are so relieved, but yet the finals are looming near.

2) definitely its great to break free from the "sleep at 5 / 6 / 7 am .. and wake up at 10am .. work in school till 12 am then head home to work some more"

3) in order to go back to the normal sleep pattern .. i had to deprive myself of one full day of rest so that i can fall asleep at the normal time again.

4) anyway .. with all that "early morning" sleep .. i realised that the sky turns bright in a matter of seconds or even minutes. looking out the window just before dawn, you will find that the animals are stirring, and beginning to make noises with anticipation of the coming day. its amazing how nature responds to the rising of the sun. then all of a sudden, you will find that the sky which was once dark is now filled with light. isn't that just wonderful?

5) its time to cut my hair. seriously. 5.5 months of not cutting my hair has helped me saved some money though. hahahah ..

6) campus crusade is having a book sale again soon. by the time i finished 1.5 of my new books, i bought another 2 more. this obsessive book purchasing behavior has to stop.

7) sometimes i don't really like having a big room, cos i don't use most of the other spaces and they collect a lot of dust. i'm serious. but i don't like to be crammed in a small space. so there, no reason for me to complain.

8) washing my table is therapeutic. scrubbing out the muck that has been accumulated between the grains of the wood, washing the dust away, and i end up with a clean table, which is smooth to the touch. up next, my warode.

9) jazz concert on weds night. looking forward to it.

10) God loves you. I'm serious.

one quick thought..

why is anonymous spelt this way? does it have its background in someone being really annoying?

shift the 'n' around and you get:

annoymous - the art of annoying someone so much so that the person recognises that the annoyer has reached an artistic skill level.

Naoh - consider this:

if Noah was really able to contain two of every kind of animal in the ark, he would have been the greatest wild life reserve park owner / keeper. guess he still is.

if Noah was really able to contain two of every kind of animal in the ark, how could it be possible for a family of 7 (not so sure over here) build something so large?

if Noah was really able to contain two of every kind of animal in the ark, how did he feed the carnivores contained within with fresh meat, when he only brought two of every kind of animal onto the ark?

if Noah was really able to contain two of every kind of animal in the ark, how did he know if he had collected every species of animals, when we are still discovering new species of animals today?

if Noah was really able to contain two of every kind of animal in the ark, what will happen if all the animals got sea sick?
1) jamming at gas haus is not advisable. acoustic sucks. but you get a free jug of sprite or coke after your jam.

2) if you actually observe closely and hard enough, you will actually find that sons take after habits of their fathers, and daughters after their mothers. I'M SERIOUS! why? cos i find myself starting to talk like my dad. gosh. i need to change.

3) still deliberating if i should do 5 CUs next term or 5 CUs during exchange. i do want to immerse myself in the culture, thus i should do as little as i can. but the extra 1.5 CUs are really bugging me.

4) more and more i'm convinced that SMU stands for Spam Management University - where you learn to manage spam more effectively than anyone else.

5) sometimes its just sad to lead a life without passion or zest. i truly admire those who dedicate their lives to following their passion like Colin. inspirational entrepreneur. but he still lacks my greatest treasure.

6) gonna acquire 2 more books, and i have not even finished a complete book since the start of the term! really need to read more and faster!

7) its also amazing how some people are so full of themselves, and blind to how other people perceive them. you don't know if you should laugh or cry for them. maybe i can start by laughing till i tear.

8) i reached a conclusion that excelling at computer games require a lot of your brain power. why? cos a large proportion of your brain is dedicated to your hand muscles. therefore, professional gamers maybe use more of their brains than anyone of us.

9) played a song on the guitar for my mum. it made her happy. it made me happy too.

10) ever wondered where you heard the alphabet song before? if you did, you are not alone. the same tune is used in twinkle twinkle little stars. try singing both the songs. ;p

1) the appeal of toys'r'us never fails to attract me. its like childhood 101 each time i walk in.

2) given a chance, i'll take up cooking any day. but the memories of cutting myself while cutting vegetables still seem quite recent. or it could just be the slacking genes inside of me.

3) amazing how music is almost an integral part of all cultures. the emotions each scale can stir up, the missing half-beat that makes it all intriguing, the out of place note that gets your notice, and the octaves that harmonises so sweetly.

4) bravissimo is kind of a better choice over ben and jerry's. less fat, lower price, thicker texture, and larger servings. they just don't have the young "pretty" girls serving ice-cream, which is such a wrong choice by the management.

5) not gonna watch anime for a period of time. my books are calling out to me. 17 unread new books. don't want to set a new record.

6) BAS is happening again. - Book Acquiring Syndrome. gonna start a counselling group for all those affected by it. let me know if you want to join .

7) guy friend likes girl. girl friend likes guy. man .. i think i'm getting old. all these start to seem foreign to me.

8) oh yah. random recurrence of memory. don't eat the rice stall from the plaza by the park kopi tiam. rice stall as in the stall where you can choose the dishes to go with plain rice. unless you want food fortified with caterpillars.

9) 4 "confirmations" and counting ..

10) unless you are called to do a paid photo-shoot, don't agree that quickly. find out more first. if not you will find yourself walking back and fro in the middle of shenton way just to capture your ghostly image, where no one will recognise it is you, and you are requested to put on a suit to do it. if you did. pat yourself on the back. you ain't the only one. i know how it feels.

1) not working too well this week. been not so efficient as compared to other weeks.

2) meeting up the man either this thursday or friday. really hope everything works out well.

3) if only life is as simple as this post. short and sweet statements.

4) sometimes you wonder what is going on in the heads of various people around you. what are the things that are keeping them up awake at night.

5) if only there were road signs for life, like those you see on the roads.

6) wonder if i will still be doing the same things in church 2 years down the road.

7) wonder about the things that may come my way in 2 years time.

8) wonder if II will be a better choice over I

9) wonder if my coming week will be a good week. (i'm living more in the short-term of things these days)

10) lost in my own wonderland.

Saturday, September 23, 2006

1) sometimes you just wonder why are you doing the things you are doing today. what is the purpose of doing all these things, when you don't see any future value in it?

2) it hurts to see someone you love being lonely. promise to myself that i will make more effort to spend time with my parents and grandparents.

3) feeling disabled is a lousy feeling. wanting to do something, yet you feel helpless about it.

4) men in the old testament used to live for like a few hundred years. i wonder how they keep themselves entertained. imagine at least one hundred years of counting sheep.

5) if only life had a clearer instruction manual.

okay! second post.

seems that a new wind is blowing @ baog, but will this wind be accepted by the people? or will everything stay the same even though such a loud call to battle has been announced?

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

there is a need for everyone to put on the armour and get ready for the war that has been neglected for too long.

my heart longs for some fresh wind and fire.

1) definitly been a long long time since i have blogged. woah.

2) heard something that is kind of liberating, but yet at the same time, it tears down a lot of my old beliefs.

3) never try do surveys in suntec city while IMF is going on. you will sure be chased out by the security guard. haven't tried it in other malls yet though.

4) never try to ask people who are walking to the mrt station to do a survey. they are always in a rush. ask those who are waiting for someone.

5) never try to ask someone who does not understand english to do your survey which is in english. it will take you more than 15mins.

6) the macbook pro is too appealing. have to get one. you too. go get one.

7) don't try bible study at night. it keeps you up the whole night cos its hard to stop after just one verse.

8) cobwebs have 2 meanings - one refers the the sticky stuff that spiders produce when your stuff has not been moved for a long time, the other refers to some spiritual energy according to some new age website.

9) always shake hands with the management of ben n jerry's before making your order. you get a 50 cent discount - or a free wafer cone. =)

10) observation studies for consumer behavior can be utterly boring. face it. you are in singapore. lol.
